About Me

In 2003 I established a full-time private practice in Campbell, California. Having now moved north to beautiful Sonoma County, I have redesigned my work with clients as tele-therapy, using Skype and FaceTime, and in-person at my Santa Rosa office. Counseling and helping others has not only been my chosen profession, but continues to be an occupational calling.

Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to the Bay Area as a young adult with a BA in Psychology.  After 13 years developing expertise in the areas of workplace psychiatric stress injury and litigation, I returned to the University of San Francisco to earn an MA in counseling psychology.  Upon completing my MA, I worked for the Diocese of San Jose doing child, adolescent and family therapy, and created and marketed a bullying prevention program for South Bay schools. I also worked as an instructor and group facilitator for Goodparents, Inc., an organization providing training and support for parents of teens.

Additionally, I have served on the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara Valley chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, mentored  pre-licensed and newly licensed therapists, and I participate regularly in consultation groups.

As I continue to pursue additional education and specialized training in working with couples, individual adults, and families, I am rewarded by the evidence that my work helps my clients to lead fulfilling lives with relationships that are strong and healthy.
